Heartstrings

Hearing the music of "Heartstrings" in my head a few weeks ago I started singing different lyrics.  First they were new, then I thought about putting in words from my journal.  Maybe this was because this occured at sunrise and they were lyrics about watching a sunrise.  Who knows how these things happen.  The wheels started to turn in my head, but then my thoughts were flying.  I didn't have my guitar, but I could hear it.  Everything fit at once, the verses, chorus, and bridge.  One really powerful song was born.  With some editing still to come, here are those new lyrics to "Heartstrings."

Look out my window and there you are
How I hate to be so far from you
But I’m surrounded by these walls
Two windows and that’s all

You show so much beauty to me -I can see it all maybe

And you, you send your love my way - I’ll love like that someday

Just then did our eyes meet?
Life's looking pretty sweet
I hope that you see me
For who I want to be

   Chorus

For heaven’s sake,
For heaven’s sake,
Don’t let me make
the same mistakes,
Don’t let my heart break.

So we stay up all night
Waiting on the first light
We watch the sun rise -
See the world open its eyes

   Chorus
